Gallup Commercial Historic District was approved for listing in the National Register of Historic Places by the New Mexico Cultural properties Review Committee at their meeting on April 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Bataan Memorial Building at 407 Galisteo Street, S. 236, Santa Fe, NM.

The National Register of Historic Places is the nation’s official list of properties worthy of preservation. Listing in the National Register provides recognition of important prehistoric and historic places, and assists in preserving New Mexico’s cultural heritage.

Listing in the National Register does not restrict the private use of property by the owner nor restrict the property owner’s ability to sell, transfer or develop the property.
